The Charity Boat Race is being organised by a consortium of three charity registered organisations – Gift Foundation, Sisters Forum and Newham Youth Link. The Charity Boat Race is a fun event for the family which provides a platform for our community to raise funds for very important causes in this country and around the world.

All proceeds from the boat race will go towards the educational causes of Gift Foundation.
In particular Gift of Knowledge, a project of Gift Foundation, providing children scholarship to needy children, orphan sponsorship to those who have lost their parents, nurturing young talents to materialise their highest potentials, supporting educational establishments and other long term educational causes.

CATEGORIES
We are keen to provide opportunities for the whole community to get involved and raise funds for a cause close to their heart. As a result, we have different categories, enabling everyone to form/enter a team and compete against other similar teams from the community. Teams will race against others in their own category, providing a competitive element but also the opportunity to get to know each other, share experiences and network.
We welcome everyone to take this opportunity to have a fun, exciting family day out and support the many different causes across the world.
Upazilla No-Ka Bais enables competitors to join a team representing their particular area of Bangladesh to raise funds to carry out projects in their area in Bangladesh.
The Sisters Race aims to encourage female participation and provide them with the opportunity to compete against each other and raise funds for their preferred causes.
This category provides an opportunity for teams representing different masjid’s to race against each other and compete to become the champions whilst raising funds for their masjid.
This category provides an opportunity for teams representing different organisations in the community to race against each other and compete to become the champions whilst raising funds.
Additional Activities
We have a range of additional fun activities aimed at entertaining attendees and introducing them to new sports.
SPONSOR THE CHARITY BOAT RACE
We are currently seeking sponsors for this project and have the following packages available for interested partners. The amount sought for each package is a guide as we are keen to involve those who share our ethos, ideas and passion for the event. We are, therefore, keen to have discussions with individuals/businesses who are interested in supporting the event.
- Naming rights for the event – such as The (sponsor name) Charity Boat Race
- Airtime on (minimum) 3 TV shows – as a guest to the programme promoting the event. This will include Kit launch and Draw. We hope to have other opportunities to provide airtime as well.
- Logo/recognition on all printed/ social media publicity
- Back cover ad on brochure
- One page message on brochure
- Production of short video for social media platforms
- Platform to speak at relevant/appropriate events – press launch, awards evening
- Key role in handing out trophies to the winners.
